Had a great weekend. Spent the weekend on the shores of the colorado and shot some awesome looking Birds. Gambel's quail are really pretty birds.

You should try to hunt later in the year for mature scaled and Gambels quail. I love to go between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is so great to wander the desert in a t-shirt when it is snowing at home and try to fill big limits of little birds- doves sprinkled in too. But make a point to hire a good guide and hunt Mearns quail once in your life. I go every other year and do a three day hunt. One day for each species. Funnest thing I can imagine.
