How many of you guys are going after 'em this winter? Those big ones are fun to catch man,...... :beer:

ill be after em, but i think all the views is because most people dont know what rockfish are I was just talkin to a guy from Boston who looked at me like two heads when I told him that thats what we call stripers around here.

The accepted common name is Stripe Bass, but yes a few still call them Rock fish. :thumbsup: I'll be after them in the summer for the first time. I'll be busy duck hunting during the winter and wouldn't know how to go about getting one anyway.

Yeah swampbilly...I'll be after them too. Must be a regional thing with the name. I know they're striped bass, but all I've ever known them as are rock.

:lol: Wingnut,..that's him... :yes: I didn't think about the "slang" name like ROCK, shoulda' just said Stripers,.. Sorry fellas', I'm just so used to calling them rockfish. Ya'll post some pics , as soon as they start coming out of some of these rivers I'm going after 'em.

It won't be much longer Swampbilly...water temp is falling more and more every day. It'll be game on before too long!
