dead fish

Postby bassmaster624 » Fri Jun 11, 2010 6:43 pm

i live in pennsylvania and the local lake had a infectious fugus that killed over 5000 crappie.although carp catfish bass bluegills were killed off to.the fish commision said it was from the water temp raising to fast and the spawn was happening that put a strain on the fish.they also stated that this happened in other states to any body know about this?when we went up to see what was going on the weeds were floating every where i see this later in the year but not now.i was wondering if they tried some new kind of weed killer and it had a side effect on the fish.not that they would ever admit to doing something like that.just wondering if any body else had this happen.

We had a bunch of carp die off 2 years ago. Due to some virus going around. The population seem to have recovered nicely tho. And it's really only carps that are dying.
