1st trip of the year...

Postby shrpshtr » Mon Mar 06, 2006 9:41 pm

ahhhh, spring is in the air. we finally got a weekend that wasn't pouring down rain and i was able to take the boat out and wet a line. i try and make the 1st trip of the year by mid-feb at the latest but with all of the wet weather it's been impossible.

as always the 1st trip of the year is always eventful. this was no exception. i had a brand new marine battery die on me 45 minutes into the morning but i was able to pull this guy in at least. the weather is looking right over the next 10 or 12 days i'll have to try and collect a few more this size.

it sure was nice to be back on the water again...

thanks 98. i can't wait until this weekend. i think because of the colder weather (and a new trolling motor battery... ) they are going to be right. it's supposed to be partly cloudy & 75 degrees. :salude:

la, i let him go in a private pond in my subdivision. we have a couple of ponds and i have been putting bream and bass in there for a while to get the neighborhood kids something to try for. if they see fish go in, they have something to work towards.
