ive been experimenting lately and was wondering how long you put your leader on a Carolina rig
Chuck Norris bites the hand that feeds him,and eats their entrails.

A rule of thumb I use.
Clear water longer leaders 3-4ft. light line. wire hooks.
Stained to semi clear 2-3ft. standard equipment.
I generally used this method. I'll spool out an arm Length from the middle of my chest on stained to semi clear.
2 arms length on clear water. You may think this allot of line, but after you tie your knots. After a few fish, frayed line, or a hang up, break off.
you get the picture. It's easy to start long and go shorter than vice-versa.
Hope this helps, Hawk
