Postby crewchief252 » Sun Apr 08, 2007 9:58 am

spent fri and some of sat at a private ranch in Va, bass fishing, despite the cold fronts and snow on sat morning we still did ok, 3 dads, 3 sons, about 12 hours of fishing for a grand total of 252 bass ranginging from 1lb to a few 4 pounders, all in all a fun day.

And this is what we woke up to on sat morning, and still managed about 50 bass in 2 hours.

252 bass is a lot of bass for a days worth of work, how many of those fish do you think were double catches or maybe even triple catches?? Regardless, I would love to catch that quantity of fish in a day. Sometimes it is weird how weather will or won't effect the bite. How big was the body of water you was fishing in???

They were probably mostly single catches, it was from a few different ponds, there are 11 ponds on the property, and you pretty much get one every 4 or 5 casts, but the cold front slowed them down, last year there was just 3 of us and we caught 365 in a day and a half, going back in june to give it another try.
