How is your crappie and bass pole setup? Test, length, type of rod and reel, etc

I have 2 St Croix Premier 5.5 foot long rods, with Shimano ST1000FJ reels, I like ultra lights for crappie and bass

BTW I use 4 pound mono with a 18 inch fluorocarbon leader

It all depends on what i'm throwing at them. I'm 6'1" so the longer poles seem to fit me a little better. For frog fishin i like a 7' medium-heavy with 40# braid. Crankbaits=6.5' med-heavy or med 20#braid. Tubes=5.5 med w/12#braid. Pitchin jigs=8' med-heavy 20#flourocarbon.

Crappie and perch: I use ultra lights spinning rods with 4 lb test. My favorite is a 7.5' Loomis. I also use a 3-weight Orvis fly rod with an ultralight spinning reel for crappie when the bite is really on.

I catch a lot of bass while fishing for perch and crappie, but my "bass" rods are 6.5' bait casters with 12 or 15 lb test ... I also use these for steelhead or anything big.

Also have some spinning rods set up 6 and 8 pound test for bass, catfish, walleye.
