fish finders?????

Postby redleg79 » Mon Jan 28, 2008 9:16 am

I've recently bought a bass boat and the last time i had it out i broke the transducer off. I've priced a new transducer and for not much more i can get a new unit. DO any of you have any recommendations on a good fish finder for not a ton of :help: money.

I have had a lot of good luck with huminbirds.

Next time you get in shallow water or beach, have your motor down, to save your electronics !!

lowrance-eagle is the way to go. depending on your price range you could go with an eagle fishmark 320, $170. 1500 watts peak to peak, 320x320 pixel count, they also make a fishmark 480 which is the same thing but with a higher 480x480 pixel count. from there you can add color-$100 or gps-$100 higher wattage-$100. lowrance makes many different models and there are many different ones to choose from. go to a dealer and ask someone there. lowrance has excellent customer service which is a big reason i like them.
another one bites the dust

I'm not sure how big the lakes are you fish on..
but for a few bucks more, up grade to the egale with
the GPS unit... Eagle FishElite 480 Fishfinder/Mapping GPS
these units allow you to map out and put in waypoints to
good spots so you can get right back on them... '
I can't tell you how many guys wish they had spent only
about 60.00 more for this feature......
also check out this site for units as they have replaceable
transducers and units for very cheap.....

also another plus for gps is that you can run in the dark
without worrying about the banks....
