What size of hook should be used for ice fishing trout? what kind of bait do they like? :rolleyes:

i use a # 6 gamo octipus hook in either chrome black or red. i prefer the black though. i like usin small pin shiners about 2" long for brookies and i might even use a #8 instead for them. i like 2 1/2 to 3" shiners for browns and salmon and smaller smelts when i can afford them. crawlers for rainbows and big old shiners or smelts for lakers and a #4 gamo
