Postby DC KILLER » Sat Apr 05, 2008 10:46 am

A few of my padnas and i got a trip planned for the last weekend in April to catch some trout and hopefully a few smallies out of the Little Missourri. We plan on fishing the stretch right below the Narrows Dam on Lake Greeson. Just wondering if anyone has any fishing reports or general details they wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks alot

it'l be my first trout fishin trip so im open to any basic tips on trout fishin in general as well..... Thanks

You may want to check the water levels and flow rates. Most rivers and streams from south Mo down to you are still 5-10 feet above flood stage from the rain 3 weeks ago. If its still movie, fishing pretty much goes to hell in a basket. Unless of course you know of some slow moving sections, which of course are most likely fished out by now.

Just to make this public record.. its at 3000cFPS its average is 293cFPS

Its almost off the charts meaning Record High, well past flood stage

theres another 2-4" expected in that area today- Sunday as well.. Your looking at a while before its normal.

Also the highest it has EVER been was 1820

So Go to the Mouth of it with dip net and catch all you want...35mph current should flush the small ones out..

You can still catch fish when they are generating. You just have to bottom fish like you would for cats. We make a couple trips up there every year. It is fun to do something different. You can sit there and catch a hundred in the morning go eat lunch and do it again in the evening.
If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.

Know your target before you pull the trigger.

Duck Hunting is ALL about the bag.
