Offshore Jigging

Postby trigger22 » Wed Apr 23, 2008 12:28 pm

just curious how many people on here have picked up on the new trend of catching fish offshore. seems to me that folks jigging are catchin more and bigger fish than those using cut bait

I think that jigging was kinda reinvented a few years back when shimano released thier versions of the diamond jig, they got alot of pub for it, even though alot of people have never put them down...but yeah I know what your saying there has been a resurgence of sorts...our trip a few weeks back we did alot better with jigs than cut bait, except for the yellowfins...

There's some guys here in NC and VA that would rather jig for the stripers than troll. Doesn't matter to me as long as they're biting pretty good.
