Still do but it's slowly fadeing away. I did a lot when I was in GA, put out some first thing in the morning before day break then went bass fishing. I think that most people don't because they don't want to be that guy that gets talked about, there's that idoit spreading jugs all over our lake type deal but I could care less, i'm there to fill a cooler.

still do it and still love it. run up river a few miles, dump my 50 jugs and head down river and wait for em to float to me while drinkin a few cold ones and catchin cats on the rod and reel. after an hour or so i'll start the trek back up river puttin fish in the cooler. sure is 1 heck of a way to fill a deep freezer

Take jug (coke bottle to milk jug) tie line to it, put bait on line, chunk it out and sit back with a beer and let the jugs do the fishing.

We tie the jug on one end of about 10ft to 12ft of line then tie a weight on the other end and put about 5 or 6 hooks in between. Works great.

there is a law for jug fishin in most states. it limits the amount of jugs that you can use and what types of bait you are allowed to use. i know that in KY you are allowed to use 50 jugs, and i am pretty sure the law is the same here in NC, and you are allowed 50 hooks on a trot line.

here in okla your allowed 25 per person and 1 hook per jug. also you have to put your name address and fishing license number on each jug and you have to check them within 24 hours. its pretty popular around the lakes here. We mainly use the noodles used for swimming pools and they work great and never have to worry about them getting holes and sinking. not to mention storing them is alot easier than a bunch of odd shaped jugs.

its pretty fun when you throw em' out and then bass fish for a while...we usually like to throw the jugs out at night though when there is less traffic on the water...then just relax with a beer and watch!

There are no laws for jug fishing in Louisiana. It's pretty common here depending on where you go. I enjoy it but have only gone a couple of times.

another thing that works well with clear jugs is to drop a big glow stick in them or with a noodle use a wire tie (zip tie) and tie one to it so you can c them better and u dont have to use a spot light and bring in all the bugs
shoot first ask questions later

Man, When I first read Jugg fishing, what the heck, Oh they take a jugg of booze when fishing, catch a fish and a buzz. I use to jugg fish when I was a kid, I just forgot what it was called.
