Used to. Me and my family used to go every year when I was younger until it got too commercialized. There is some good deep sea fishing down there though.

Spent most of my teenage summer weekends there at my father's beach house. We've fished there thousands of times. Now I take my kids there. What do you want to know?

Oupps, I meant to move this to AL forum, as you would most likely get more answers there.

If fishing from shore, about all I can suggest is fishing from the jetties at the pass or near where the water goes into the gulf from little lagoon. These places are fished hard and often, so don't expect a lot. Live bait works best. Use a cast net and catch minnows. Artificials can work also, like a cocahoe minnow or a top water bait. Most fish that you see jumping are mullet, for the most part they do not bite a hook around here. Ignore them.

If you really want to catch fish though, your best off going with a charter. Used to be anyone with a boat could troll near the coast and catch spanish mackerel, but the gill netters really hurt the industry.
