Polaris is the best. Alot of Atvs hold up ok on land but i drive polaris's through rivers all the time and have had the ATV COMPELTELY submerged and it still runs great. My dad and his buddies take them up to canada in some harsh country and ride them there. I cant stress to you enough how much i love them lol.
The group ended up with 420 birds.

I would have to say Artic cat, I have read all the post and none of them compare to what me and my buddies put are artic cats threw, between 7 of us we have 5 400's, 1 500, and 1 650, all of them have 26 inch mud lites except the 650 its got 29 inch gators, and all of us have some kind of performance upgrade. But anyways when we go riding, all we do is fine the mud pits and see whos bike can the furthest, I dont know how many times we have drowned the bikes out, but we just pull them out drain the water out of the transmission and fire em back up and head to the next pit. But there is always 1 or 2 of us that come home with a broken axle, but thats going to happen when you put that much abuse on them.

Or you can just drive straight through the water with a polaris!

You can do that with any ATV as long as you have a snorkel.....Polaris, Yamaha, Arctic Cat, Suzuki or Honda........doesn't matter, if you suck water up in the intake......none of them will run.

2005 TRX500FG Rubicon.... red.... bought used but it is a sweeeeet bike... All the pics I have, it says they are too large for the site. I'll try to get them on.

Both are great runners, minimal maintenace and durable as heck. I agree Honda uses older technology, but thats why they are so durable. They also have some good technology such as the sideways mounted engine and the Best auto tranny as well with the hondamatic. It's hydrostatic. Instead of belt driven like other quads. We run our quads 365 days of the year on the farm, in the woodlot hauling logs and firewood and on the hunting trail. They get worked hard but always come back for more.
