Shooting Glasses

Postby Pavel » Sun Apr 04, 2010 10:19 am

Any suggestions on shooting glasses that won't break the bank would be nice. At this moment I am shooting only in the evening under the lights at our local trap field. Which color lenses are best for this type of shooting?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or input,

Pavel

You didn't say if a prescription was needed...anyway if shooting in the evening, clear or something with a light yellow tint. Most of these come with 3 or 4 lenses. Try some of the wrap around styles in the $20.00 to $30.00 range. Won't break the bank and are pretty durable.

Chimere and Decot make some great shooting glasses. A lot of the wrap around sport glasses cause some blind spots around the nose piece and in skeet the wide low ear pieces can block your perifiral vision. Either one of the ones mentioned are made for shooting and maybe are a little spendy now, but twenty five years from now they ammortize out.

Decots new revel glasses are pretty sweet there smaller wrap around design and dont have a blind spot on the nose piece. They kinda look like sunglasses so you can wear them just about anywhere i use them to shoot trap, skeet, sporting clays ext.
