went to the range last night and shot my first 25 with my 12 ga. six guys shot my hat while it was in the air and my friend and another goofball got about 5 feet from it and shot it on the ground it looks horrible but there just enough left that i can hang it on my wall.

One of the guys from our county's junior squad shot a 25, and there were about 8 of the young guys lined up, and me on the end, they all had their guns shouldered when he threw, and none of them hit. I have shot enough hats, to know that you always wait for it to land. Boom baby. Every squad has the guy who waits to pot shoot it from 5 feet, you couldn't have a squad without him.

Yeah, Our shooting club does that too. I have shot my fair share of hats as well. I usually load 2 and shoot it in the air and then shoot it when it lands. One ol boy, shot a 25 strait with his 12 gauge and then with a 28 gauge, needless to say, his hat was in 3 peices  The bill was completely severed and the top was missing. He stapled it back together and continued to wear it

AHH good times!!
