Need some advice

Postby TommyW » Wed Feb 20, 2008 1:11 pm

A little over a year ago I bought a S&W M&P 15. I wanted to put some accessories on it. Everything I see is for the AR-15. They look similar. Would gear for the AR-15 fit on the S&W? Not the internal parts, or should I trade it in on a AR-15?

It's all good. It's just another AR model, just made by S&W instead of another manufacturer. There is a myriad of products out there, and none of it would sell if it only fit one brand of AR made.

I've looked at plenty of S&W AR's with all the latest and greatest tacticool stuff on them.

Thanks bgoldhunter I like the gun. I wasn't sure about the fit of the other parts. Now I have to work on the accuracy.

Does smith and wesson even make that gun? I thought they bought it and stamped their name on the side. That's just a standard AR, right?

I was under the impression that S&W made that one in house. I'll have to do some research and find out.

Regardless, the models I have handled seemed very nice and well made.

Every review I've ever read on that gun has been favorable. S&W doesn't put their name on junk. Most of the time.
