Postby aboz » Thu Dec 09, 2010 1:28 pm

Hey all I am just finishing up my trapper education course and am thinking of maybe buying some traps for yotes here in a bit. I think i'll wait for the 11-12 season to try anything besides dogs but what do some of you guys suggest.

start of with coons. They are fairly easy to catch and don't require alot of technique. Hell hang a piece of fish or a can of sardines on a tree about 1 ft up and set a foot trap underneath. You wiill have him the next day.
Im working 2 jobs so you never have to work 1.

Check your regs before doing this though. Some states don't allow hanging bait. Best bet is a dirt hole set. You'll catch skunks and possums for the most part and it'll be frustrating. You'll get some coons though.
