Yes, I am trying to build a small mud motor(3.5 hp) for my kids at the camp. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to build the shaft for the motor. I have looked at the many ideas on the site/web and it doesnt look that difficult although I cannot find the bushings/bearings I need. I have a 3/4" od shaft(cold roll) and would like to encase it in a piecef galvanized pipe if possible..or any other suggested casing. I was told to use sinistered bushings but am having trouble to locate the correct ones. Can anybody shed some light on this for me and maybe give me some direction. Thanks Steven

for the busings and seals, use DOM (drawn over mandrel tubing) for the main tube because it is dimensionally correct inside for the bushings and 3/4 cold rolled for the shaft
