Firestone Destination A/T Tires

Postby XR2 » Sat Nov 20, 2010 4:04 pm

Considering putting a set of these on a 2008 Ford Ranger - anybody have any experience with them? I am NOT enthused with the Continentals that came on it stock. Truck is 2WD and I'm looking for some decent traction

Good all around tire in my opinion, had them on a Ranger, still have them on the wifes Escape. Good traction and wear well.

I have them on my trailblazer. They are good for a A/T not the best off road but they do ok in everying but thick mud. I would have gotten a set of BFG AT KOs but they did not come in my size. I had them on my S10 and Ranger. The destinations are a good tire but if you will be doing a lot of stuff in mud I would look at the BFGs

mild as far as all-terrains go, but an excellent tire for a vehicle that sees 95%+ street driving and minimal off road driving. They are good in the winter too.

Good tire, not the best. I work for Bridgestone, who owns Firestone. If you are looking for the best traction, look into Bridgestone Dueler AT RHS or Dueler AT Revo2. Im putting a set of Revos on my truck in about a week. They are a bit spendy, but about as agressive as you can go while still maintaining a quiet ride.

Have had two sets for my truck in recent years. Great tire, good tread design, got almost 50K out of the last pair. I highly recommend them....
