Price on Rims and Rubber

Postby Slack Tide » Sun Aug 14, 2011 8:10 am

Hi all,
I have a stock, factory set of aluminum rims from my F250 with decent tread left on the tires. They are close, if not THE style in the pic. There is the typical chaffing of the aluminum in some areas but overall I would say they are in 7 out of 10 condition. Does anyone have a ball park figure of what I could ask for them? I upgraded to a different set.
Thanks

stock size tires im assuming? i would say at most you could get $1200 out of them but be looking at getting $800-1000 for wheels and tires

You think the local Craig's list might do the trick?
Thanks

Yeah craigslist is a good place, or try to find a good ford truck forum to list them on. Are those rims forged aluminum? What kind of tires are on there, what kind of shape are they in. Those are the things that will drive the cost.

I guess they are forged b/c they are shinny, not the ashy aluminum look. They are in pretty good shape, not mint but certainly decent. The tires are decent generic tires, I forget the brand, they aren't Goodies or anything exotic. They are under my house and will just get screwed up so I want to sell them.
