Ford 6.4L MPG

Postby magnum12 » Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:10 am

I was looking at a 2008 F250 4x4 with the 6.4L motor and was wondering if anyone out here has one and what your getting mileage wise. Also has there been the issues with it like the 6.0L?

I had a '10 F250 6.4L CCSWB and I had to get rid of it. I couldn't stand the constant regen cycles. Be on the look out for it "making" oil. When I moved to Kalifornia I had to get rid of it since diesel was ~4+ a gal and I was avg only 11 in the city. It ran strong. I towed a dual axle car hauler with a Volvo XC90 and about 2000lbs of gear on the trailer and about 3k in the bed and it never missed a beat. I miss the truck, but not how much it cost me...

I have a 2008 ford 250 6.4 l with 51,000 miles.Only problem I had was an O-ring went bad and needed to be replaced. no major problems with the truck. The truck get 14-15 around town and 16-17 on the highway. Stay away from the 6.0 l, they as you know have issues. No chips or add ons with my truck. Very comfortable and capable truck to drive. Plenty of room in the crew cab and plenty of get up and go.

I get 17-18 in mine. I'm running a Spartan +275. It's my first ford but I like it compared to my duramaxes.
