F250 tires & wheels value

Postby ajmorell » Mon Feb 06, 2012 11:14 am

Slack, I moved this for you since it didn't seem to fit in the "show us your huntin' rig" thread

Per slacktide:

Does anyone have a rough idea of what I should ask for a set of f250 stock aluminum rims with tires? They are all in good shape and a decent amount of rubber is left on the tire.
I am going to post them on the local Craig's list and just wanted to ask a fair price.
Thanks,
Slack

What size are the wheels and tires? What kind of tires are they? What kind of shape are the wheels in?

I dunno,
Whatever "stock" would come on an F-250. No major name brand on the tires but in good shape. Aluminum, chrome rims (8-lug) and I would say 7 out of 10 stars in shape....
I have them on CList for $400 total and only got a few freaky hits?? I figured that was a steal...

The size does matter to an extent. depending on what package your truck is, the wheels will vary in size.. as well as value. I just sold my stock wheels and tires off of my F-150 FX4 for 250... they were 17 in wheels, if they were 20's, I would have asked 400.

If they are 19's, you could probably get that for them and the tires...

Just look on CL for what the going price seems to be and base it around that.

impossible, Ford only put 19in wheels on the 450 and 550's because of the heavy comercial tires available for them. a 250 would have 17 or 20in wheels.

Sounds good, I just drive them, not much of a motor head..
I think $100 each is fair though right??
I'm surprised the phone's not ringing.....

$100 is more than fair for each. I see wheels and tires go for $75-150 all the time on CL but I wouldn't go less than $100.
