Ford/Chevy Rim Question

Postby Slack Tide » Thu Mar 01, 2012 8:23 am

I have a stock set of F250 rims with tires that I have on Craigslist. I got a call from a guy who says he has a chevy that he wants them for.
Is it at all possible that my Ford 8 lug rims will fit his Chevy 8-lug truck? Or is that just a factory thing that will never happen??
Thanks

measure the distance between the lugs from the center of one lug to the other one this will tell you the lug pattern. it all dependes on the bolt pattern. they might fit some older rims do fit different models.but if he wants em bad enuff sell em anyway

I'm getting quotes ALL over the place from everyone, I have them listed for $400 for all four with tires and I am only getting a call or two, none of them panning out.
What do you think of this price??

depends on the year of the ford they came off of, pre 97' f-250/350's had the same 8x6.5in lug pattern that GM uses(d) on everthing but the 2011+ Druamaxes. the newer fords are an 8x170mm I believe.

short anwser- nope more than likely wont work.

PS as far as I know Dodge is still using the 8x6.5in lug pattern that they have for all 8 lug trucks.

Dodge is still staying with the old standard 8 on 6.5 lug spacing but I believe they had a smaller center hole than Ford or GM. Ford changed in 1999 with the new 8 on 170 pattern with the F250 "super duty" there was no 250 super duty prior to 99 and the 97 trucks were the same as the 96 trucks. The 98 F250's had an odd 7 bolt pattern if I remember right. Chevrolet used the 8 on 6.5 up until 2011 which is now an 8 on 180 just to make is more of a hassle to interchange wheels. My new HD is an 2011 and I am having a hard time finding wheels I like for it.
