2007 Avalanche?

Postby PAwaterfowldominator » Sun Mar 25, 2007 7:28 pm

Does anyone have a new 2007 Avalanche? I really like the new body style and interior. I'm thinking about getting one. What do you guys think?

I know a few people with the 07' and they really like it. i myself have an 05' and i love it. Lots of cool stuff on the 07' such as the back up camera.

Very nice vehicle but it doesn't make sense on paper. When compared to a 1/2 Ton four-door four-wheel drive Silverado you pay upwards of $5,000 more for it, and the resale value is less when you get rid of it.

Save $5,000 and buy a new shotgun, dog, and hunting gear.

Shoot'em close. Less to pick.

They might get my guns, but they'll get the bullets first !

Had a '05.

I could not get rid of it fast enough! The back leaked, the front right A- arm was f-ed up from day one. (they somehow coun't fit the problem). needed a front left impeller, power stearing pump, window and door locks. the list goes on and on. Do youself a favor. Get anything else.
It's not my fault I'm at the top of the foodchain.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they are a bad vehicle. They have some nice features, etc. But unless you have money to throw away, it doesn't make sense to purchase one.

I'm sure there are ones that have had problems, like what Muzzyinbambi mentioned about his '05, but that's going to be true of any vehicle you buy - there are going to be some that have trouble for whatever reason, but that doesn't mean all Avalanches are a POS. We've had five of them here at my place of business and they've been great trucks - the guys loved them. But when it came time to replace them and we found out what the resale value was  and then that they cost more to buy a new one  - well... it just didn't make sense.

You get a different look, and a covered bed. Again, unless you are just stuck on how they look then the money you save in buying a four door four-wheel drive Silverado, you could buy a bed cover or camper shell AND have money left over.

You have to admit, the new '07 is a nice lookin ride:

If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.

Well....rather have that Dodge than the Chebby. That one has a few too many wheels for me. Make mine a SRW.

To be perfectly honest I wish it was the truck you posted with the 5.9 cummins in it. :evilbanana:

Not the first time I've heard that one!

Can't say as I blame ya, and would probably agree. I would like to try the new Cummins and PS back to back and see how they do...
