I get consistent 17.5mpg when I am driving little freeway and in town. I will get 16.5mpg just in town. Strictly freeway I can get 19mpg, without towing anything. I have an 02 half ton.

I had a 2000 Xcab 4X4, 5.3L with 373 rear end that got around 16 in town with routine driving.

mine has a 5.7liter V8, and a 5 speed automatatic rear wheel drive. I wish i had the 4x4, but it still gets the job done

Well, I had a 03 2500HD 6.0 with 4.10's that got 12-13 in town, and 16 on the highway. A little better if I babied it.

Traded that junk on an 04 Tahoe 5.3 with 3.73s. It gets 13-14 in town and 16-18 on the highway. Again, it is better if I am easy on it, and have seen 15 in town and 21 on the highway.

Getting ready to sell it and upgrade to an Expedition EL.

If they're dumb enough to be lured in by plastic you're really just doing them a favor.

That FORD has gotta be better than those two POSs. I'm not a Ford or a Chevy or a Dodge guy. I like what I like, but was working at a Chebby dealer at the time I bought both those. It is sad to see what passes for quality for the bowtie guys.
