Never been interested in anything involving the fondling of balls. I did play a little soft ball at school though.
Actually one thing Ive just noticed. What is it with US sports? :umm: I mean you guys usually play sports that no one else does. NASCAR, Grit-Iron, Base Ball and Basket Ball. What other countries play those? Wheres the fun? Wheres the International challenge? I suppose you guys can at least say that your the best at those things.

Sorry to step on your toes kiwi but other countries do play sports "with balls", many american get there start overseas as well as those that start overseas and then make there way over here, with baseball, football and basketball. There are also european NASCAR drivers. The international challenge comes during the summer olympics when we play basketball and pretty soon there is a internatioal baseball game. If you watch the homerun derby contest you will see alot of international flags which get to be a international challenge amoungst the players.

I used to play alot, first baseman and left field, until I was rammed by a runner as I was about to catch the ball, they arn't sure if when he hit me on the right side or when I landed on my right shoulder, I tore my rotator cup in three places......haven't played since.....

Well I suppose the USA rugby team come over and did a tour (betcha you didnt know you had one). And we won the "Americas cup" twice. But it just seems strange to our island. I mean every popular sport we do is international.

Well at least New Zealand has allot of sheep.

Ok, ok well thats one sport we indulge in that most others dont :toofunny:

aaaahhhhhh, baseball! the sports love of my life. i played through college and still love it just as much as i used to. that's all i ever wanted to do was play baseball. once reality set in and it will for 99.999% of those who play the game i decided to have a family. now i get to enjoy softball where it's a whole lot easier to hit HR's on a 300' field swinging at a grapefruit. good times...

kiwi, don't has gone international. the wbc league started this year.
