Whos watching MLB??

Postby HowIdo » Tue Apr 08, 2008 5:11 pm

I think this is going to be a very interesting season, there are multiple good teams in every division. I am a huge Phillies fan and enjoyed watching them beat the Mets for the 9th time in a row today!! I just dont see anyone taking it from the Red Sox if they stay healthy.

What team do you guys root for and give me some predictions for this season!! ( WS winner, MVP, Cy Young etc.)

REDSOX...WOOT.

As far as predictions... don't have any right now.. but I'm actually impressed with the braves just a little bit..

Yankees going down.

<------- GO CARDS!

6-2 right now. I'm a huge Cards fan, and spend way too much money going to as many games as I can. Good thing is my wife is also a big Cards fan, and my oldest daugher is a big sports nut with a bunch of Cardinal autographs/swag in her room.

Sounds good guys, Im more scared of the Braves than the Mets in our division Botiz!

bgoldhunter: Rick Ankiel and Albert jack are monsters!! The story behing Ankiel is pretty good in my book.

Im just praying Utley stays healthy and can make it three MVPs in a row for Philly!! Either way he is a beast......3 HBP yesterday and took one to the back, what a player he is!!

Kinda funny you said that, as I was listening to a local sports radio station on the way home last night. The guy was saying that Ankiel's story would be huge if he was playing for an east coast team. My opinion is that Pujols would have an even larger following if he played out east as well.

I liked Ankiel as a pitcher, and think he is making a great move to the outfield....Babe Ruth anyone?

Woodie, how is bourn doing in center there? I see that he isnt hitting that well, but how is he in the field day to day? I thought he was a pretty good player and didnt want to see him go!

he plays one hell of a centerfield...and once you do get him on the base paths he is lightning fast...just needs to get that stick going...you know kind of reminds me of our last speedy centerfielder...willie taveras

This could be the year for the cub's. Laws of percentages are turning in their favor. That town would go nuts if they one.

Despite the fact that they are stinking it up, I'm still holding out for the Tigers. They have way too much talent to have a repeat of 2003.

Woodie,
That was a crazy game tonight, Chacon pitched a hell of a game, but the bullpen blew it. Im not sure if Jenkins was safe at home, but with the luck that the Phillies have had lately im glad one went our way! Next is Oswalt which I am not looking foward to, good luck!!

Woodie, that was a pretty good series, minus todays game, I think you guys have a pretty good middle of the order with Berkman, Lee and Tejada!! I cant wait for tomorrow night when Hamels throws a gem at the Mets and Santana!!
