Griff hits 600 HR's

Postby harvey1b » Wed Jun 11, 2008 9:29 am

I'm sure you guys have all seen it, but I wanted to post up about Ken Griffey Jr's 600th HR. He has one of the sweetest swings in baseball and you can't meet a nicer guy. I had the pleasure of hanging out with him for an afternoon back when he was on the Mariners, and he is first class all the way.

I agree, you are lucky to have been around him. I am not a BIG baseball fan but he is a solid player and a great role model.

LA, I've said that many times. Bonds would be chasing him instead of the other way around. Hopefully he will still hang around for a few more years. He has a classic, timeless swing.

Harvey, I am jealous that you got to hang with him. He really seems like a nice guy and the fact he didn't want to hype his 600th just makes it that much better IMO.
