heres my upset pick for this week........

#7 texas tech beats #1 texas 30-24

i really think texas tech's offense will prevail over texas offense. but we'll see like i said before it's an "upset pick" for a reason.

I'm a Texas A&M Aggie, so I actually hope a vortex opens in the space time continuum and neither team can finish the game.

Honestly, I think you made a good upset pick, but reason I don't think it will happen.

Defense, Defense, and Defense.

Texas Tech's defense is better from last year, but its not great. Texas has much better defense than tech does, and if I learned anything from the Tech v Texas A&M game, that I stood through, if you put pressure on Tech's QB, he is not near as effective and that seems to be the key.

Colt McCoy runs a very efficient offense. Although their running back is a little slow to start, they have a much more versatile offense that should exhibit better clock management.

Again, I like your upset pick, I think tech could win this game, I just think Texas, if they play it to their potential, has a better well rounded team.

i agree with pretty much everything you said. i think it will be very hard for techs offense to hold back the longhorns defense. but we'll see how it goes if harrell can get the ball to crabtree, who i think is in the top 5 for the heisman it should get interesting.

For the entire first half, Tech won the line of scrimmage. By the time Tech's Defense wore down, it was too late for Texas.

Texas showed very little ability to stop Tech's Offense.

Oh well.

I did like how Tech's Fans got them 2 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, gotta love that.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2002-11-17-texastech-celebrates_x.htm

I'm an aggie, and I'm totally biased, but after the incident in 2001 where the tech fans stormed the field and shoved the goal posts into the visitors section after they beat the aggies, I have since considered them the most classless fans in the Big 12.

Their University has since been dismantling the goal posts at the games end so the fans can't tear them down.

There have also been several claims of them throwing batteries at opposing teams.

Now I'm just waiting for the cry's of countless tech fans to defend their school.

Congrats on the win Tech, I just don't know whats up with the penalties.

Random, but I am a college football fan..

Three more years...

Let Mallet do his thing, enclose the north endzone, let the program be rebuilt, and then surprise a lot of people.
