Yup, hats off to the Hawks, theyve surpassed allot of expectations for a young team. No disputing that. Theyre gonna have to tighten it up somemore and adjust the offense to get things going in their favor. Theyre having all sorts of trouble getting through the neutral zone and gaining the blue line. And, when theyre turning it over, the Wings are transitioning very well creating lots of odd man rushes...which burned them last night.

So far im very happy with Detroits play. Great defense and great goaltending from Osgood when called apon. He didnt have a chance on either goal in game two. A fluky deflection off Ericsson's skate and a great deflection by Toews with traffic. Those aside he was very solid between the pipes. My only gripe is that on the offensive side of things Datsyuk, Holmstom and Hossa have been far to quiet. Theyre still doing great things out there on both sides of the puck, id just like to see them getting on the score sheet a bit more. This is a prime example of why being a deep team is so important come playoff time. It shown through in the Anahiem series and is doing so here against the Hawks.

Im looking to more fast paced exciting hockey. I pick Detroit in 5...GO WINGS!

As far as the Carolina/Pittsburgh series, im hoping the Canes can put the Pens down, but im not so sure they can match the firepower of the Pens. I think theyll win a couple contests because they are a very resilient team. I think itll go 6 and i give the nod to the Pens...Hopefully im wrong about this series.

Missed most of the game, but what i did see was a constant seasaw of dominant offensive performances by each team. Seems each would put the heat on and the D couldnt counter....Missed OT, but i see the Hawks got it done. Hats off to them. Their hard work at the end of the third and judging the winning play, OT they deserved it. They had the right work ethics thats for sure. That said, I bet they were sweating bullets after the end of that second....We got us a series now. Looking forward to game 4...Come on Wings, lets put a strangle hold on things!

Wings win!.....With retribution for the Kronwall hit on Havlat on their mind all night long the Hawks played undiciplined hockey and the Wings made em pay. We steam rolled them even without Datsyuk, Lidstrom and Draper in the line up. Tonight was a prime example of an experienced team exploiting a youthful inexperience club. The Hawks just completely lost their composure and got away from their game. You just cant do that at this stage of the playoffs. Teams are too good and you cant give them an inch cause itll cost a mile. Game 5 at the Joe on Wednesday night...Lets close em out...Go Wings!

They say of all teams that are down 3 games to 1 in the Playoffs only 9% come back and win the series.

Looks like a repeat of last years' Cup

The odds are definitely not in the Hawks favor. But, you never know in hockey, thats why its such a great sport. Just when you think youve seen it all something else can happen...Id be P.O.ed if the Wings blew this though....I see Datsyuk and Lidstrom are out again tonight...Hope theyre not hurt too bad and are just sitting out because the Wings are being careful and think they can close the Hawks out without them.

Should be a great game, im looking forward to it. Puck drops at 7:30 pm.

Your not a kidding...What a goaltending display we had last night...Unbelievable saves...That save Huet made with seconds left was nothing short of remarkable. He anticipated the shot, got body position and kept his club in it...Full marks to the Hawks...A valiant effort in an elimination game.

I hear that AJ...BIG Wings fan as well. They certainly did NOT play to their potential. Gotta give props to the Pens though, they kept their foot on the gas and came back with all odds against them.

What an ugly season for the Wings with all the injuries and uncharacteristic play. Good to see them healthy again and on the right track to make another playoff push. Theyve climbed the ladder and are hitting their stride....GO Wings

As much a Penguins fan that I am it pains me to have to say that I think the Capitals are the team to beat this year.

I think their short comings defensively and in goal will be the caps downfall....They are a scoring machine, no denying that. And if theyre going to win that scoring is gonna have to carry the load. History shows that defense wins championships.
