hundreds of geese yesterday

Postby duckgirl123 » Sat Nov 29, 2008 8:50 am

Went out field hunting yesterday, had about 500 geese come to the field, absolutely amazing to watch.

Didn't get much shooting in, just a muddy behind from running around and laying in the field, as they didn't like our spread, but they would break up and circled around about 3 times. Never minded not shooting, was fun just to watch the birds.

Will try again on Sunday.
If it flies, it could die!

That's sounds awesome! We don't have the set up to field hunt geese, especially later in the season, but man the lake we live next to is just covered! It's one of the last places to freeze in the area and their are a couple hundred geese on it, enough seagulls to turn the sky white, and quite a few ducks. Too bad the place is surrounded by houses and not really huntable.
