labtrainer, you will be in my prayers. My dad is going through a similar situation with his buisness.
As far as finances go, Dave Ramsey is a man that i would trust through and through. He has a book out called "Total Money Makeover" and also has a very strong spiritual backround. Check his website out my fiance and i have become much closer because of his teachings. www.daveramsey.com. i hope this helps.

i will pray for y'all.

i suggest:

1. writing a gratitude list

2. meditate on the Lord's Prayer

3. take it one day at a time

these are some of the things which behoove me to do.

Lord's Prayer: 'give us our daily bread" if i had it my way, i'd get a month supply then sit on my ass.

i have to know He is God. Don't go to God w/ how big your problems are, bring infinite God to your problems.

stop running the show. if you are like me, you are not good at it.

in prayer, pray for Thy Will, not yours, to be done. He knows what we need. if he takes care of the birds, how much more will he take care of us?

serenity prayer is also very helpful for me.

you can help others w/out helping them financially. especially around your home. anything to get out of yourself.

i encourage you to take some action; do something different (the above). keep us updated.

i know this will sound heartlees, but i don't mean it that way. i just want to help and give perspective.

they don't. "no" is a perfectly valid answer.

labtrainer wrote:why must my family strugle so,

why shouldn't they? our Lord was blameless and died a death we can't fathom. do you really think your not having luxuries is struggling? is it suffering?

labtrainer wrote:why can't we have just a little of what others have?

did you earn it? your question sounds like envy. think Cain and Abel. why was one sacrifice accepted over the other? was it just because, or was there a reason thast was beyond a fallen human's understanding?

Keep the Faith.

Labtrainer,

I'll give you my perspective as a fellow entrepreneur...but first-before I go off and assume-is your business in lab training like your DHC name says??

regardless of your financial situation i think everyone could benefit from taking Dave Ramsey's course called Financial Peace university. I just finished the course and I am only 24 but it is very cool to already be thinking about retirement and getting financially secure. I am going to be getting married shortly and money issues cause 90% of all divorces. My fiance is going through the course right now at my request so that we can both be on the same page with money. GO TAKE THIS COURSE, it will change your life

very good advice. if you can't afford the class, or there isn't one near you check out his books, find him on the radio, or hulu. just do something to learn before it is too late. also ask indaswamp a ton of questions as he seems so very well versed on the economy.
