Prayer need

Postby Jay Jolicoeur » Sat Jan 07, 2006 6:01 am

My brother and his wife have been trying to get pregnant for a while. They lost a baby within the last year. Currently she is 5 months pregnant. My father called me and told me she is in the hospital bleeding and having contractions two minutes apart. Please keep them in your prayers.

Jay, I am so sorry to hear that -- how heartbreaking for them. I am praying for them right now that God and medical science will be able to save their baby for a safer arrival time. Please keep us posted.

Baby

Postby Jay Jolicoeur » Sat Jan 07, 2006 8:40 pm

My sister-in-law had the baby girl last night at about 5:30. It was 7" long and weighed 1 lb 2 oz. She was 5 1/2 months pregnant. The baby has been doing well. We just got a call that she is having problems breathing and it doesn't look good. Please pray.

Thanks,

I found this...

Prayer for the very young...

God bless the little child behind the plastic wall
For all he knows is the ringing of the bells and
the blurred images around him. He has been taken
from my womb without warning and I long to hold him
in my arms.

Lord, I ask in your name that my child be healed.
I am willing to accept your decision no matter what
it will be. I am willing to take on the responsibilities
for caring for this child. I am willing to give this
child love and understanding no matter the cost.

Please Lord help me to accept reality and what has
happened without explanation or warning. Help me
face the fact that this is not my fault and that
I was given a special task to complete here on Earth.

God give my child the strength to make it through another
second, minute, hour and day as each moment is
a blessing and a triumph from heaven.

God, may you give the strength and compassion
to the caregivers and nurses that take care of my child
May you keep my child protected and free from all injury
and pain.

Please take away the guilt and burden from my heart dear
Lord. It is heavy and I feel it is all my fault.
Take it away dear Lord. Sweet Jesus allow me the stregnth
and understanding I need to communicate with the Doctors
and Nurses.

As you see dear Lord, I am at your mercy for the life of
my child. Please leave him here on Earth and know that
I will provide all the love and understanding that
this child needs. I accept the challenge and will be
your humble servant dear Lord.

Update

Postby Jay Jolicoeur » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:25 pm

I appreciate all your prayers. I spoke with my Brother (Lee) this morning. He said that the nurse told his wife (Shana) the baby probably wouldn't make it through the night be cause of respitory issures. My brother said that the baby is doing better this morning. He said that the doctor said it was very bad, and just upgraded her to bad. They say her blood flow to the brain is good and that her heart rate is very good. So please keep them in your prayers. The baby's name is Rylee.

Jay,
Nothing I can say will relieve the heartache that the parents and you are feeling.
I have been told by a renouned grief counselor friend of mine that it is the most traumatic thing a person ever has to face in life is the loss of ones child. With that in mind, I hope that all those deeply effected by this heart wrenching loss will seek out, now and in the future, the services of both spiritual and medical services that may be availble to them, so that one day they will be able to smile again from the heart.

My condolences at all.

Memorial Service

Postby Jay Jolicoeur » Wed Jan 18, 2006 11:22 am

I first want to thank everyone for their prayers. We had the memorial service Friday night for the baby. It was a beautiful service and I believe my brother and his wife were comforted. They are doing much better than I would be in the same situtuation. If you think about them please remember to pray for them. Especially Shana my sister-in-law.
