Sounds like a sweet set up.

If I were to get a new one (and money was not an issue) it would be a Mathews Passion, I'll see if I can scrape together the cash this summer but I kinda doubt it.

Let us know how she shoots and be sure to post pics when you skewer a big'un.

It's a very sweet set up! i shot it in a 3d turnement last year (that was the demo bow my friend's dad had, he's a rep), it is an awesome shooting bow and super forgiveing as well as its a fairly fast bow. so I decided I needed a new bow and got it a little below what cost is, and im getting all of the above that i dont have through him for cost! :grooving: so i realy wont have much in it! al ready have arrows, release, case, stablizer, broad heads, practice tips, and wrist sling.

plan to get out a lot more this year as well!

Sounds good man. I fanagled a little bit and I don't have friday classes next semester so I'm stoked for long weekends up north. As much I love waterfowling I have to say you see a lot of cool stuff from the bow stand and when everything comes together and your effort is rewarded with a good buck, hard to beat it. Killin deer with the bow is just awesome. I tell all my gun hunting buddies that once you get one with the bow, gun hunting seems like playing dodgeball with girls.

No matter what anyone tells you never swap out those muzzys. I know other heads will work but you can't beat what you've got.

i agree 100% man! i have though gun hunting was so much easier ever scince my first bow kill! and i should have AUT every other day next fall at school so i dont have to come for the first 95min so that'll give me a lot more time to go in the mornings, 2 or 3 days a week.

and I will never trade off my muzzy 4 blades! never had one run from them! and the few deer i have shot with my bow none have ran over 50 yards from the Muzzys! not to mention i really cant bring my self to even think about shooting expandables after seeing a 150 class buck live to tell about getting shot by my friend's rage broad heads.

I've seen photos of entry and (sometimes, maybe, if you're lucky) exit wounds from rage heads that looked like someone took a meat cleaver to the animal. The ones you don't see photos of are the deer that aren't recovered.

If I do my part and put that arrow where it is supposed to go, I need to know that my broadhead will do it's job 100% of the time. If I was hunting Gummi Bears I would use the rage hands down, but alas, animals have bones. Rage no like.

I've never seen the Smoke. We sell the Primal and the Hammer in our shop. Last year the Primal was my favorite bow, until Diamond started making the Black Ice again anyway. :hammer:

the Smoke is a step below the primal and one above the hammer, well in price anyways!

i do like the black ice too, brother has one and it shoots damn good for him!
