Here's my bows. Made From Osage Orange.
Image

And my arrows. There are all target points except for one broadhead made from circural saw blade. The wood is Hazel from Scotland. And fletched with White Turkey feathers.

Hoyt Vectrix, spott hogg site, fuze accesories, ripcord rest. Its still set up from my elk hunt last September with big aluminum arrows and leading edge broadheads, some of the arrows are feather fletched, just for fun.

Heres another, I just finished up. A buddy of mine glued up the limbs and cut the riser, I did all of the finish work, added the antler nocks and western d-back skins, and wet molded the leather grip wrap. I'ts a shooter, I'm getting 205-210 at 15 grains per inch.

Here's an almost full draw pic, taken during the build. Those tips really open up on this bow.

I just recieved this yesterday as a gift from a friend.
64" Osage charecter bow, 51# @ 30", moose antler overlays, elk hide grip wrap, and timber rattler skins. The finish is unreal, it looks like it's a mile deep.

Nice bows Clint. Who made them? They did some great work. I have never really considered my self a bowyer. I do it and make bows, but mine are hunting/utlity bows. Deflexed to follow the string as to not take set when strung for long periods. I don't get off on the rocket fast bows as they seem to get more unstable and very less forgiving if anything in your form or setup changes.

I had some buddies use snake skins and the skin peeled, so i never tired it. I guess you need a pretty good varnish over them and I have not used anything beside tung oil on my bows.

How long are your arrows? I shoot some 28 and 26" arrows on various bows. I have some coming in at 600 grains for 26" arrows. That's 23 grains an inch. I would probably consider myself and arrowsmith more than anything. I love hand making my arrows. have a read on this if you have time. Its shows how most of my arrows are made. http://www.bowyers-den.com/index.php?q=node/1
