Sights

Postby MaineHunter » Wed Sep 05, 2012 2:25 pm

Here is the deal.. My father and I are headed to Illinois in November bow hunting.. Right now I shoot a z7extreme, with a Vital Gear camelback pendulum sight.. For here in Maine the sight is perfect, I do 95% of my hunting from a stand and all shots are within 30 yards.. My question is should I change to a fixed multiple pin sight for heading out there to IL? It seems to me my shot opportunities will be longer distances.. Any input?

I shoot the Trophy Ridge Pendilum sight and as long as I have time to range and adjust my pin, I can acuratly hit 70 yards. As long as the deer are not going to know you're there I would stick with it. If it's going to be a fast paced hunt, fixed pins might be better off. Hope that helped! Good Luck!

Can you move your pin up and down for different distances as well as have it "swing"? Mine is a "fixed" sight that swings.

Im not sure what you mean by "swing" but i just twist a knob into unlock position and move the sight to my marked distances on the tape and put it back into lock position.

BlackGold is the only way. They fix them for any reason. I dropped my bow and broke the sky coil. called them to see how much it was going to be to fix. they said 0 we fix them for any reason. and pay to ship it back fixed
