good bow for youth?

im looking for a youth bow and dont know what to get. what is a good bow for starters?

Depends on what your gonna do with it. How young and so forth. The genesis is a good little bow, or the micro midas.

Find a good Pro shop, and go and actually shoot some bows. Don't make up your mind until you do cause some fit better than others. You may find you love a Parker over all the others or whatever, but it's important to try as many as you can before you buy. Check for adjustability. You want a bow that will grow with you. Faster is not always better. Carbon arrows last way longer and don't bend. Use a sight, Peep, Kisser button, and release. They make a HUGE difference when your learning. Find a shop that is willing to help you get it right, not just sell you any bow.

Great advice, my son(9 years old) has been shooting for three years now with a browning micro midas wich like the parker has 10 inches of draw length adjustment without a press, a really nice feature. He shoots weekly in a 4-H program and is now a junior archer :thumbsup: , great program, you should look into the 4-H in your area it is a great program.
