Postby Jr.waterfowlslayer » Sun May 31, 2009 10:23 pm

HI im looking to buy a new bow that will come out to be around 500-600 bucks. I was just wondering what your guys's opinion was on what the best bow to shoot is. I shoot an old hoyt right now but have been hearing lots of good things about the diamond. any advice would be great.

Just go shoot a few. You honestly can't buy a bad bow these days (except for the crappy ones at Walmart.. For that price range though, I'd start out with the new Bow Madness by PSE.

I'm partial to the Parker brand and they have some nice bows in that range with accessories. They have a lifetime warranty which is big plus. Although if I was going to get a new bow I'd take a long look at a used Mathews or Alpine Silverado.

Duckschooler,
I totally agree with you on Parker...that's actually what I have. I found the Frontier 2 Plus in the bargain cave at cabelas for 200 bucks off...last bow I'll ever own...

Go to an archery shop and shoot some bows in that price range. You may even find a new close out from last year or year before...Good luck.

Quest-Loved these bows, its #2 behind the Alpha Max for me
PSE-Bowmadness-didn;t like it, but that is just me
