Anybody know?

Postby assateague » Fri Dec 18, 2009 3:56 pm

Does any manufacturer or handloader make a Barnes TSX in .35 Remington which can be used in a Marlin lever gun? If not, I'll stop wasting time. Thanks in advance.

You could use TSX bullets in a lever gun one at a time (as a single shot), but not loaded nose-to-tail in the mag tube...at least not safely.

I'll second that. One day someone might make a leverloution type load out of them.

Toasty's got me talked into trying the hornady. I've not had good luck with ballistic tips in the past, from my .25-06, but these sound OK. If I can only convince myself that even though they're made for it they won't blow up in the tube!

Hornady "Rubber Tips" are safe in all tube guns, if they come in your caliber.

They gave new life to the old 30-30 !!

Otherwise you will have to go for one really good load for the 1st shot with with crappy old
flat nose jobs to back you up, if you muff the shot.
