Ruger 10/22 Mods

Postby whistlin_wings » Tue Jan 04, 2011 11:50 am

Just bought a Ruger to mess around with and looking to modify it and have a bad looking toy. Anyone done this yet? And if so what type of stock did you add? I'm looking at the Christie super stock and some others so looking for some input.

I would add a arc angel stock, makes any gun look really nasty, it adds a 6 position stock, free floating hand guard, picatanny rails, muzzle flash suppressor look also.
birddogs rule and all the rest drool, for birddogs love you for you and do not ask for anything in return but love so hug your birddog

The list to modify this gun is off the charts if you ask me. One of the first things I did was replace some of the trigger parts (Volquartsen) to make it smooth and crispy. From what I have read KIDD has a reputation of making some killer parts for the 10/22. I haven't done much to my Ruger but I do plan to add this stock (http://www.battenfeldtechnologies.com/fajen/catalog.asp?product=adjustable-ruger-10/22-stock) and a new barrel of some sort soon.

Yea it's pretty ridiculous for everything I have found which is one of the reasons I bought it. I'm looking to replace the stock with something that looks clean, put on a scope, change out the clip release, and looking into changing the trigger but that requires more than unscrewing one screw like everything else mentioned.

Boy did you open a BIG can of worms when you bought that gun!!

TONS of stuff out there to swap with.................and after you finally get it the way you want it.................

you have to find the ammo it likes............

I think you are going to be real busy in the coming days.

Maybe a picture of a target , later when it all pans out?

Good luck and enjoy.
