I wouldn't buy a Taurus anything. Sure people talk good to them, but when I see more Taurus guns go to the gunsmith than any other manufacturer combined, there's a problem. You either get a good one, or a crappy one. I'm not paying 300 bucks to find out if I get a good one or not though.

I have a Taurus .40 cal auto. I won't buy another Taurus auto. I might try a revolver, but it would not be my first choice.

Only bad thing is the amout of "down time" waiting for it to come back from the factory.

Ruger and S&W are five times faster................ always nice to get parts on line also, sort of like a ford or chevy
vs a desoto or plymoth...........sometimes just a part can fix the problem if they are available.

Like I said, you got lucky on that one. When a Taurus breaks, and gunsmith here can't fix it. Taurus makes their own parts and it has to be shipped back to them to be fixed.
