ruger six shooter 44 mag

ive always had a problem shooting this weapon due to the long front sight and rear grove. are you supposed to modify the front post by filing it down. i dont mean to sound stupid . im not a bad shot with my other hand guns.

I don't know that you're "supposed to" but if it improved my accuracy I would do it. Which model do you have? On my GP100 I ditched the front sight for a hi-viz and it improved the accuracy two-fold.

mine is the valero model like the peasemaker. it has a tall front site post and a grove above the back cylinder . i shoot lo mostly and try to compensate and shoot high. cant get it dield in.
