Buying new gun

Well im about to buy a new gun but not to sure which one yet. im thinking of a S&W airlight 38. Crimson Trace Grip. anyone have any expierence with the airlights or crimson trace grips ? This will be for mostly for home protection.

I don't have one but I am told by one of my gun store friends that the S&W airlight is very popular with the concealed carry people because it is so small and lightweight. They feel good to me but it wouldn't be a gun I would get for home use. I would go with something larger, heavier, and easier to shoot, more like a 4” revolver in a standard size steel frame. Those real lightweight guns are better for carrying around all day.
More ammo! I need to shoot something!
