Postby BHUNTER » Mon Mar 13, 2006 4:15 pm

i found a savage 22lr yesterday for 50 bucks, it is a bolt action single shot, do any of you own one and do you think its worth 50? ive check thier website and msrp is around 170.00, i guess if its a "pos" and i get a couple of boxes through it i probably got moneys worth out of it.

Shoot man it looks as though you own enough guns to make that decision yourself. Can you shoot it before you buy it, how old is it, any gun for50 bucks that shoots straight and is safe is worth it.

i know its cheap and it looks clean, i removed the bolt and gave it a once over no rust anywhere, if i give him 50 for i could always replace a few parts if need be, im just not that familar with savage is all.

Savage has a very good reputition so don't worry about that name, and asking for less money than what the want is so you can buy parts if need be. But i still be inclinded to shoot it though.
