Do you measure Pyrodex by volume or weight. I have read it both ways. Pyrodex is the same as BP by volume and/or you should weigh Pyrodex loads and use 30% of BP listed loads if using Pyrodex. Looking for a good 54 cal roundball deer load using Pyrodex powder.

Volume. 100 grains by weight of black powder or substitute is not equal to 100 grains by volume
