Does anyone have any experience with this Remington Package rifle/scope. This one is in .243 but caliber is not the issue. Quality, room to grow, basic mechanics. Thanks. Wayne

Total GARBAGE. If I were you I would look at the SPS youth or the Savage or Ruger youth guns. The 770 is the 887 of rifles...

dsm, you hit it right on the head. My father in law bought one for a nephew and dumped the project on me as to getting it to shoot. What a nightmare. The trigger is rivited together and has a trigger pull like opening a can of jarred fruit. The next part of my project is getting it long enough so that my nephew wants to shoot it.
I let him shoot my M70 for his hunting season and will try and fix his so we can hunt some yotes to get some confidence in his own gun.
DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE UNLESS YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR CHILD!!!!!!!
