I'm always looking to learn something new about guns and how they work. I am curious to see what we know about bullets, powder, guns, scopes, ect. I'll start this off with some things that I know.

A bullet fired from a gun horizontally will hit the ground at the same time as a bullet dropped from the height of the muzzle.

A gun has two recoils, one from the inertia of the bullet and another from the gasses escaping through the end of the barrel, but they happen so close together we feel them as one.

If your scope is tilted other than vertical then the bullet isn't going to hit where you hoped it would.

And, I heard if you shoot buckshot through a tight choke, it deforms the buckshot and they don't fly straight.
