I'm gonna do my darnedest to take a respectable hog with a .45 ACP in Texas in a couple of weeks. Now, don't get me wrong, the .45 ACP is NOT my hunting handgun caliber of choice. It's more or less a nuisance hunt and the .45 is not the primary weapon....just want to take a head of game with one for once. For handgun hunting, I'd be perfectly content with a .22 and a .44 Mag/.45 LC/.454 Casull, etc. I think that the newer .500s, .460s, etc. would be cool in a lever action rifle....but it ain't a 'handgun' anymore to me when it's as heavy as some of my rifles.
Here's a thought: Let the ducks work and decoy.
