Very nice builds. The T/C rifle appear to have oversized or sleeved barrels. I noticed the step down in diameter as the barrel reaches the receiver.

These are built by what is called a "barrel stub". If I need to explain this, just ask....

You said a couple...

That exceeds your quota, and thus, must donate all but two to the Gunnysway "I'm broke as a joke, but me wanty your kick ass rifles" charity...

I'm not picky about which rifles you decide to send me, as they are all lovely.

I will PM you my ffl dealers address and ffl #.

Thank you in advance,

Mr. Broke-as-a-joke...

Nice! God scopes too. We need some details here. The Remingtoms aren't stubs, what calibers. I like the Handi (caliber) but the Encores :fingerpt: Not my cup of tea in these configureation.

30-284? 243 White Express? Oh now that's interesting! Details please. What is the parent cartridge of the 30-284?

Why a stub project for the Handi instead of a rechamber from a 357 mag?

The 30-284 is a 284 Winchester case necked up .30 caliber. Ballistics are just about identical to a 30-06 and that is the load data used for loading the 30-284. I'm shooting Hornady's 155 gr. @ 3,400 fps. from this gun...

The 243 WHITE EXPRESS is a cartridge I designed and developed over 20 years ago. It is based on the 444 Marlin case necked down to 6mm, with minimum body taper and a 40 degree shoulder angle. It is basically a rimmed version of the 6mm Ackley Improved...

By stubbing the H&R, it allows for the use of higher quality custom barrels, which can be chambered in over 100 different cartridges. Cartridges like the 7X30 Waters, 250 Savage, 257 Roberts, 6.5X55 and many others, can be chambered in the H&R. The H&R shown above is made with a 1-20" twist rate barrel and is built for speed and accuracy. It will push Hornady's 140 gr. FTX bullets over 2,600 fps. and keep all bullet holes touching at 100 yds. and is easily capable of taking deer out to 300 yds.. It was built for an "Indiana legal" deer rifle. And besides, when was the last time you saw and H&R that looked that good!

That 30-284 is no 06! It screams!

I was courious about the Handi. I like the idea and reasons. Great solution for a niche problem. I have a Handi and thirteen barels for it. I bought it for a couple of reasons. I always wanted one, cheaper barrels than the TC line and I like the idea of one gun that can do everything. I've never needed more than one shot unless it was ducks and then I'll take every round I can get! I suck!
